Description
This fall-themed activity will leave children asking for s’more time at speech therapy! Using a versatile set of flashcards and an icon board, this activity uniquely targets the following subject, object, and possessive pronouns:
- Subject Pronouns: he, she, they
- Object Pronouns: him, her, them
- Possessive Pronouns: mine, yours, his, hers, theirs
How to Prepare?
- Print on heavy cardstock or laminate for durability
- Print pages 3-9 and cut out all icons and flashcards
- Create the icon board using construction paper and three velcro strips
- Add velcro to the square on each flashcard
How to Use?
Follow the provided instructions for each activity. See below for an inside look at our activity targeting subject pronouns!
Lay the icon board and flashcards #4 – #6 out on a table.
Sing the following song to the tune of, “Wheels on the Bus.”
When it’s fall they go on walks
Go on walks go on walks
When it’s fall they go on walks
All through the town
When it’s fall they go on walks
Go on walks go on walks
When it’s fall they go on walks
They find things all around.
Point to an icon and continue by saying, “Show me they found a ______.” Model yourself adding the icon to the correct flashcard and then prompt your client to do the same.
