Description
When the weather gets colder, it’s important to start layering up to stay warm! An increase of layers can feel uncomfortable for some kiddos, and may take some time to adjust to. This social story aims to prepare your child for the experience of wearing additional layers, and assure them of the importance of staying warm in the winter air. This social story includes 8 different versions of the same story to cover girl and boy illustrations of 4 various ethnicities.
Some parts of the story:
- Soon, it’s going to be winter. That means it’s going to be cold outside!
- When it’s cold outside, it’s important to wear warm clothes. Some of the things I wear are… (coat, scarf, mittens, hat)
- Winter coats are very puffy, and might feel like a big marshmallow! They keep my body warm when it’s cold outside.
