Take Me Out to the Ball Game! – An Activity for Increasing MLU

Work on increasing MLU (mean length of utterance) in an engaging, interactive way using TMV’s Take Me Out to the Ball Game activity!

This interactive book uses a child’s five senses to increase MLU. Students are prompted with an I-Spy prompt such as, “I Spy with my little eye…popcorn popping!” Then, students are asked a question relating to one of their five senses (e.g., “How do you think it smells?”) Sentences are provided at the bottom of each page for children to follow along with and repeat.
