These Community Helper WH- Questions cards are a simple, engaging, and fun activity for children learning to master WH- questions. While practicing, children will learn about various occupations they see in their everyday lives.This activity specifically isolates WH- questions “who.”

What’s Included?

24 WH- question cards about community helpers. All cards feature real-world images to serve as helpful visual cues and assist with inferencing.

How to Prepare and Use:

  1. For NO PRINT, use on a tablet device.
  2. For LOW PREP, print cards on heavy card stock or laminate for long-term use (optional.)
  3. Hole punch a circle in the top, left-hand corner. Use a binder ring to keep cards together (optional.)
  4. Ask the question on each card (e.g., “Who delivers mail?”). If desired, expand upon these questions even further by asking questions like, “Where does a mailman work?” or “Have you ever mailed a letter?”
