Description

This guide is a resource for parents and guardians whose children will be starting occupational therapy soon. It’s normal to feel confused or overwhelmed when beginning the intake process for the first time, and we intend to mitigate these feelings by providing an explanation of the things that occupational therapy can address for your child.

Occupational therapy assists in strengthening a vast array of skills, and looks at the whole person to ensure that our clients can be as functional and independent as possible. The services that occupational therapy provides help your child to complete age-appropriate daily routines and activities.

This guide consists of explanations for:
– Fine Motor Skills
– Visual Motor Skills
– Gross Motor Skills
– Sensory Processing
– Emotional Regulation
– Executive Functioning
– Self-Care Skills
