Description
Designed to strengthen simple mathematical skills, this engaging activity offers multiple levels of matching to cater to different learning abilities.
What’s Included & How to Use:
- Print pages 1-6 and laminate each page if you would like to reuse this activity.
- On pages 1-2 of the activity, young learners will practice their addition skills. Solve simple addition equations on the left, then use a dry erase marker to draw a line between the equation answer and the corresponding number of objects found on the right.
- On pages 3-4 of the activity, young learners will practice their subtraction skills. Solve simple subtraction equations on the left, then use a dry erase marker to draw a line between the equation answer and the corresponding number of objects found on the right.
- Pages 5-6 of the activity allows students to practice num- ber-image matching without solving math equations. Students will be presented with numbers on the left side of the page and images displaying a specific number of space-related items on the right.Their task will be to match each number with the image that contains a corresponding number of objects.
This activity has been created with NASA’s Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN). NASA’s SCaN program has antennas around the world and satellites in space to help guide and exchange important information for all of NASA’s spaceflight missions. Space communication is critical to every NASA mission, as scientists, engineers, mission controllers, and astronauts depend on the reliable exchange of data between satellites in space and facilities on the ground.
